Father Angel was removed from parish life to live at Casa Hogar


The priest Angel Martinez Galeana, parish priest of Our Lady of Guadalupe visited by politicians and vicar general of the Archdiocese of Acapulco will leave parish work, due to his advanced age, to live as retired priest in the group home "Casa Hogar del Padre Ángel, "which he has directed since 1979. Angel Martinez, 85, founded in the port group home for children and seniors, and created links with politicians in the municipality and state; polyglot also celebrated Mass at major hotels in the city.

The parish coordinator of the church of Our Lady of Guadalupe reported to fire and turn to welcome the new pastor a Mass was held on Tuesday the 11th at 6 pm, which will be officiated by the Archbishop of Acapulco, Carlos Garfias Melos . Instead of Father Angel Martinez will be the priest Angel Gutiérrez Cuevas, who was the pastor of the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Colonia Morelos.

Father Angel Martinez is originally from Tecpan. He graduated from the seminary in Chilapa and was vicar of the Church of Carmen, pastor of the Church of God of Forgiveness in the Garita neighborhood, and for 25 years from the church Christ the King, located on University Avenue, where now the new cathedral is built Acapulco.
